Job Description:
Space Systems Program Director
Near Toronto, ON or St. John's, NL, Canada • Full-Time • On-Site
Our client is a Canadian aerospace company developing advanced space launch and satellite
systems, with divisions spanning rocket propulsion, spaceports, satellites, and robotics. As they scale
into satellite development and space systems, they are looking for a Space Systems Program
Director to lead the product strategy and go-to-market for their next phase of growth. Onsite full time
near Toronto or St. John's, with occasional travel.
What you will do
Lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for satellite systems and space hardware and
software, aligning commercial and government and defence customer needs with technical feasibility.
Run rapid cycles of prototyping, testing, and iteration to validate features and accelerate delivery.
Engage customers, prospects, partners, and internal engineering teams to turn market insight into
prioritized requirements. Prepare business cases, budgets, and pricing input, lead proposals and bid
submissions to relevant opportunities, and represent the company at industry forums and trade
shows as the product subject matter expert.
What you bring
A bachelor's degree or higher in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, computer science,
business, or a related field, plus 5 or more years in space systems or satellite product management,
ground segment software, or related aerospace domains. Strong grounding in agile product
development, satellite systems, mission operations, and ground segment infrastructure. Proven ability
to translate complex technical requirements into clear specifications. Experience at satellite
constellation operators or space technology startups is strongly preferred. Familiarity with space
industry standards, regulatory environments, and export compliance is an asset.
Why this role
Own the product strategy for an ambitious Canadian space program from the ground up. Small senior
team, high ownership, direct customer and government exposure. Competitive compensation
commensurate with experience.
